Delivery of Compost
Over 6 tonnes of Discovery Compost was delivered to the site today. We then got help from the Dighty Environment Group to clear the site of rubbish, collecting a whole trailer full, before starting to move the compost into the planters. Looking forward to Saturday and our project start event

Funding for design secured
The National Lottery announced in April that the Lyon Street Community Garden has been awarded £3600 to create detailed designs for the garden. This money will be used to hire the skills of a Landscape Designer to help the residents and partners to prepare a much larger funding bid to carry out works to the site. This 2nd stage submission will go to the Lottery in October 2012 for actual works to the site in February 2013.
